Colour Still life – Light Petrol

February 11, 2019

It’s time to share another one of our paint & fabric matches from the ‘Colour Still life’ editorial shoot. This photo shoot took place in our concept store in Amersfoort, the Netherlands, with natural Dutch light, similar to how the Dutch masters composed the objects of their paintings. We decided to use natural light, because in this way we’d end up with images that reflect the reality of the colour of our paint when used in an interior as much as possible. Still, it’s almost impossible to capture the actual colour. That’s why we recommend ordering samples, if you’re thinking about using our paint and/or fabrics.

This look shows our chalk paint nr. 31 ‘Light Petrol’, which is an exact match with our stonewashed hemp fabric in the colour ‘Lagoon’. Our in-house photographer shot some of the compositions in both a dark way and a lighter way, so that we can show you how the colour appears on a bright day and on a darker, gloomier day.

This colour reminds us of denim. It looks great when used as an accent colour in a white interior. That’s why we also styled a composition with ‘Light Petrol’ and ‘Hemp Lagoon’ combined with our chalk paint nr. 4 ‘Still White’ and our linen fabric ‘Summerbreeze Ivory’.

If you’d like to shop this look, you can! Head on over to the ‘Get the Look’ page in our online shop.
